Vintage Martin Guitar

Hi.....This is a late 1800's or early 1900's S.S Stewart bowlback or taterbug mandolin... This is one of the nicest bowl back mandolins I have come across...The back ribs appear to be Brazilian rosewood...It is unusual to find one of these that does not have cracks on the top but this one is solid with no cracks and only a little bit of pick scratch...String height is nice and low...It has been restored to near new condition...CF Martin made some ukes and mandolins for SS Stewart in the early 1900's...Please understand that I am not saying that this was made by CF Martin but the shape of the headstock cutout and enclosed tuners certainly resemble the ones that CF Martin built...As a matter of fact, there is a very nice CF Martin bowlback mandolin on auction right now if you want to compare....I may end listing early if sold locally or someone wants to contact me with a reasonable Buy it Now offer...Strings will be loosened for shipping...Unfortunately, I do not have a case for it but it will be well packaged, insured and shipping will be $20 to USA lower 48 or Canada...I ship quickly but have no control over any delays that customs may cause so expect 1 to 2 weeks delivery time within the USA or 1 week within Canada...In the unlikely event that the new owner is not pleased with this nice old instrument, I am willing to accept it's return at buyers expense and must arrive in same condition as shown.
