I am selling my Oliver Ditson soprano ukulele with 'Dreadnought' body made by Martin. Nowhere is the Martin name mentioned but it is definitely a Martin. I own 9 Martin ukes and the build is identical. The sound is absolutely Martin too. It has plenty of bark and punch. Tuners are wood friction. Plays great and sounds great! It is in outstanding condition and the small scratch on the top is the worst flaw. I imagine a little carefully applied dye would hide it nicely. There are some very small dings and marks that are in keeping with an instrument this age. The case is original and in great shape. It has the purple velvet lining. The stamp on the back of the case says "TRADE MARK WARRANTED" "REG.U.S. PAT. OFF."The back of the headstock says "OLIVER DITSON CO. BOSTON NEW YORK". Inside the sound hole it says the same. There are no fretmarkers. There is top body binding. Looks like brown/white/brown but I'm not certain. It may be just two ply with white and brown. The nut has a few chips but they don't affect anything. I can send you photos of anything you want a better look at (I ran out of space!).This is the nicest dreadnought Ditson I have seen for sale. Actually, it makes me nervous having it around - I prefer ukes with plenty of 'character' so I don't have to worry about hurting them:) I have set a reserve price which I feel is quite fair. Don't worry - nothing unrealistic! If you have any questions, please ask! All sales are final. You won't be disappointed in this ukulele!I set the shipping at $25 for CONUS. Insured and properly packed. If cost is significantly less, I will refund the difference. International shipping will be more and it will be at your risk - too much weirdness due to security issues for me to take responsibility for no-shows. No bad experiences yet but there have been some pucker moments! Good luck!
