Vintage Martin Guitar

Selling off some of my collection. Hate to sell this beauty but just have too many guitars. This is a Martin D35 kit guitar that was professionally built by a local luthier in the mid 70s. The build quality is as good as any production Martin. Top quality materials were used such as Sitka spruce top ( tight grain ) and beautiful dark solid rosewood back and sides ( probably Indian rosewood ). The best things about this guitar is its tone and playability. This guitar's woods have aged very nicely and the tone is very warm with a nicely defined tonal range nice deep warm low end with balanced mids and high end ( unmistakable Martin tone) The previous owner was a giging musician and gigged regularly with this guitar. He had a pickup installed that brings out the guitar's tone very nicely when amplified ( don't know the make of the pickup) The guitar is very easy to play with nice low action and the Grover tuners keep the guitar in tune very well.There is a hairline crack just below the pickguard that doesn't seem to penetrate through the wood. There is also some wood flaking at the neck headstock joint. Cosmetically has the usual scrapes and ding from a guitar of this vintage. There is some dicoloration at the lower bass side bout where your forearm usually rests. Also some discoloration in the middle of the back of the guitar. The binding looks great and intact. The only identification marks on the guitar is inside on the neck block with 74 stamped on the block. Comes with a solid hardshell case.
