156892209404338700 Vintage 1940s Era Martin Committee Trumpet (rare One Owner)

1940's era solid brass MARTIN COMMITTEE TRUMPET purchased from a
colleague who found it at an estate sale. Apparently little use as the
valves are very clean. Compression solid. Trumpet was cleaned and
springs replaced, but original springs kept for the purist collector or
trumpet aficionado. It plays beautifully and only has one ding on the
bell ferrel not very noticeable in pictures. This is a medium bore
trumpet and is unusual with the letter "A" stamped
above the serial
number. This horn has 75% original lacquer and was serviced and cleaned.
The valves and slides move freely. There is no evidence of redrot. It
is ready to play. I am selling because I bought a large bore Committee
that I am restoring. In comparing the two horns they both play with the
classic Committe sound. This one being all brass sounds smooth, buttery,
with a good feeling resonance felt in your hands as you play. The
original case and a vintage Bach Mt. Vernon 7C mouthpiec in good
condition,  which came with the trumpet. There is also an owners tag,
(Mr. William E. Wilcox) from were  had it serviced at Paul's Music
Repair many years ago.
