VINTAGE 1939 MARTIN 00-18
SN 71986 GOLDEN ERA constructed Martin using select mahogony for the neck, back and sides, ebony bridge and fretboard, adirondike spruce top and brazilian rosewood headstock plate. Grover open back bean button nickel tuners. Period correct hard shell case that may be original. When I first purchased this guitar it was unplayable due to two large cracks originating at the sounhole and running to the lower back and the bridge was in disrepair. I had the top cracks fixed, one 4" crack on the back repaired and a new period correct factory ebony beidge with new saddle and bridge pins installed. All work was completed by a Martin authorized repair facility and the work was phenominal. This may be a small bodied guitar but it is very loud and warm and plays beautifully. If you want to own a GOLDEN ERA Martin for a reasonable price then here is your chance. I hate to see her go but I have too many guitars.Please contact me if you have any questions. I have set a low reserve for such a valuable guitar (1 of only 130 00-18s made in 1939) that will only increase in value.
