Vintage Martin A Style Mandolin Serial Number 140XX my research says it was made in 1928 Head Stock stencil reads C.F. Martin Co. Nazerath PA. not an expert on Vintage Mandolins but it is obvous that one side of the tuners were changed at least .the 4th picture shows an old Repair on the back and a Crack about 6 inches long that needs repaired an easy fix for a decent Luthier is the trapezee and bridge origional I have no Idea ,Still the neck joint looks solid and action is low defanatly will need strings and some tinkering to make it a reliable .if it were in graet shape the 2010 Vintage Guitar book lists it at $1000 to $1200 Get a Vintage martin from the 20s at 1/3 of the cost Shipping is $22 Contential USA
