A beautiful and rare 1919 Martin Mandola model AA with original hard shell case and key! Only 151 made between 1915 and 1941 with 7 made in 1919, the 2nd year for this model . . .Very rare, indeed!

This specimen is all original with the possible exception of the precisely fitted ebony nut which may be a replacement - can't be sure . . . Mahogany back, sides and neck with canted(bent) Spruce top and all in typical satin finish . . . Fretboard and peghead overlay in Brazilian Rosewood . . . original ebony carved bridge and original tailpiece with clamshell cover . . . Original tuners work great! Crack free with a couple of minor "digs" in the top, light scratches and the discolored area on top where the bridge was out of position evidently for many years . . . Original bar frets in great shape . . . Neck is straight and plays well anywhere you care to go with no buzzing . . . Original hard case with green corduroy lining is very nice but metal handle probably used to have leather covering which no longer exists . . . Little case key included!

Warm tone with great volume and sustain - Set up with light gage D'Addario Mandola strings . . .  Plays like butter with less than 3mm between the top of 12th fret and bottom of strings - a real player! I'm sorry to give her up but . . . you've heard the story before . . .
