Here we have a fine sounding and playing Vintage 1939 Martin 0-17 solid Mahogany guitar in Very Good+ condition with what appears to be a period correct, but non-original case.  Serial #74022, the instrument appears to be all original with solid Mahogany construction, original tuners, as well as Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and bridge and properly conforms to the specifications for this model, circa 1939.

This guitar has been played, not abused and there are no cracks, repairs, breaks, or issues that I can see and the pickguard and bridge are well affixed.  Like so many of these, some of the nitrocellulous finish has worn off the body and neck of the instrument giving it a wonderful aged patina that fits perfectly with the great woody sound this guitar has.  There is some fretboard wear on the first few frets and edge rubbing and rounding as you can see by the photos, but the deep reddish Mahogany is beautiful and very solid without any visible cracks that are usually found with these old ones.

This cool loud old beauty sits very sweetly in your lap with a wonderful voice and playability.  Action is about 7/64 at the 12th fret with a bit of bridge still left if your style leans towards the lower end but the guitar plays nicely as she sits and is a very nice example for your collection!

Payment

Payment on all of our domestic and international listings is due within 24 hours of the auction close and is PAYPAL ONLY PLEASE.  On some higher value and international listings, we will send you a PayPal invoice including shipping through our checkout process after the end of the listing.  Paypal is a brilliant and convenient way for eBayers to conduct financial transactions and offers protection for us both. Minimum Bidder Requirements

Because many of our items are of higher value and/or consignment items for our customers, we have adopted a policy to only work with eBayers with an established track record in the community.  Therefore, bidders having five or less positive feedbacks or less than a 98% positive rating should either pass on this auction or check in with us first or your bid will be cancelled.

Shipping

We ship within a few business days after receiving your payment via ground service insured unless otherwise stated in the description. Please note that our shipping dates are contingent upon payment within 24 hours as specified above and your shipment may be delayed by up to 5 business days if you pay late.  Our shipping and auction dates are tightly related with our travel and other business activities and we hope you will kindly understand.

Most times there is a shipping rate calculator included in the auction.  We also include the weights and measures and detailed information about estimating international shipping in each listing.  We apologize but we cannot respond to individual requests for international shipping quotations, so please use the information in the listing to estimate your shipping costs. You will recieve an invoice with your shipping charges after auction's end.

We also generally charge an item appropriate materials, handling, and transport fee which covers our expenses to expertly pack and deliver your valuable item to the shipping company.  We reuse packing materials as a standard practice in our business and hope that you will do the same!

Local pickups are always welcome as we love to meet our customers and save packing materials from clogging up the planet!

International Shipments

We take care of all aspects of international shipping and the technical export documents to get your item on it's way to you.  After the auction ends, we calculate your actual shipping and include it in your checkout invoice.  All international shipments must be insured and declared as to their actual value/purchase price and are F.O.B Boulder Colorado 80305 where our liability ends.  It is expressly the buyer's responsibility to purchase full insurance on the final price value of the item shipped and to use a shipper that supports the package size, weight, and valuation for your purchase.  Sometimes we can recommend the best way to handle your import duty and tax fees so please contact us at info@constantsmiler for details.

Since international shipping can be a complicated business, the ebay shipping calculator doesn't always do the trick.  That's why we publish the weight, dimensions, and other shipping information so our worldwide customers can estimate their own shipping charges.  WE'RE SORRY BUT WE CANNOT PROVIDE YOU WITH INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING QUOTATIONS DURING THE LISTING.  Estimates can be easily obtained from www.ups.com or www.usps.gov or the shipper of your choice.  Then we include the actual shipping on your invoice after the listing ends. Since shipping prices change frequently as well as size limitations, the buyer is responsible for the shipping prices and insurance limitations actually in force at the time the package actually ships.  

Warranty and Returns

We can answer questions about the item andor send high resolution pictures to you before you bid as All Sales are Final.  Our items are sold "as is, where is and, as described" - F.O.B. Boulder Colorado.  Our shipping policy is noted above. We warrant that our description matches the item 100% and GuitarDesires will accept domestic U.S. returns only if the item is significantly not as described in this listing.  For practical reasons, all international sales are final with no returns though we will always work with you if there's any question with the shipping, insurance, or condition of the item when you receive it.

So please check your item out carefully when you receive your shipment from us.   If you have any problem with your purchase or shipping, just let us know and we promise to  make it right.  For a valid return, you must contact us within 24 hours after receipt of your item, and return ship the item to us within 1 day of written return authorization by us. Since we sell many of our items on consignment for our customers, we cannot accept returns after the 24 hour period noted above, no exceptions.  We disburse auction proceeds to our consignors after this period and we rely on you to promptly notify us of any issues with your ebay purchase
