Beautiful, vintage C.F. MARTIN Ukulele from the late 1940's in very nice original condition. Measures approx. 21x6x2 inches. Marked on inside base, and on top back of instrument(stamped-C.F.Martin & Co. Nazareth, PA-arch pattern). Wonderful rich sound, good strings, no loose parts or stressed joints. Original hardware(one tightener does seem to have been replaced long ago but has same original hardware). Deep dark 'translucent'woods. Remnant of sticker on bottom(removable-old adhesive-not damage to wood-SEE PHOTO). There is a small abrasion on the upper side of the top end which can be restained/oiled/sanded away. All metal frets are excellent. Some slight very minor nicks can be oiled and polished easily from sight. There is one very fine hairline below lower string bracket in front, and 2 fine hairlines in back. You must look very closely to find them, and appear to have been caused over time. They can either be ignored or easily restored. They do not effect the sound of the Ukulele. The case is German and it is in good/fair/restorable condition. It has served and protected the Martin very well. This gorgeous unit can be enjoyed and played as-is. But for a very small effort, can be rejuvenated into a great and long time instrument investment. It has been in our family forever, and always well maintained and cared for. Used only on rare occasions, and never left the house, always stored in dark closet. Great future potential.  "Bellissimo"!
