Martin D-18 Acoustic Guitar
No Reserve
This auction is for a 1975 Martin D-18 guitar with original case in excellent functional condition. The serial number is 3664xx . The guitar has finish checking on the top, back, and headstock as shown in the pictures….this adds to the vibe of a vintage instrument. There are a few dents and dings…most are too small to show up in the pictures. There is a crack in the finish on the treble side of the back lower bout approximately 4 1/2” long; the crack in the finish does not go through the wood and is not visible on the inside of the guitar. An aftermarket pick guard was installed in 2002. The neck was reset and the bridge replaced by luthier Wayne Henderson in 2006. The case has been repaired on the edge near the latch closest to the handle…barely noticeable…see picture.
The guitar shows minimal playing wear…light pick brush marks on the pick guard….almost no fret wear. The action is very good up and down the neck…string height is 4/32” at the 12th fret. No fret buzz. This guitar has that great vintage Martin tone. Low starting bid. This is a No Reserve auction...the highest bid wins this vintage guitar!
