Vintage Martin Guitar

This 1947 Martin 0028-G classical
nylon string guitar is all original with a straight neck. The frets are in
great condition.  It has one very small,
barely visible finish crack on the top, a small scratch about ¼ inch long below
the bridge, which is visible in the picture, and a small, thin scratch line on the back, but there
is no wood separation.  These marks were there
when the guitar was purchased 35 years ago and have not spread. It has a beautiful
rosewood back and sides with a spruce top. It has some wear where the thumb
makes contact up toward the top of the neck. The tuning keys still work well
and sometimes you can hear the friction squeak when tuning.  The vintage case comes with it. I am not sure
if this is the original case but it fits well and was with the guitar when he
purchased it.

The case is a Lifton case (which is an American made case of very
high quality for its time) and all of the latches work.  There is no bad odor in the case like you sometimes
smell in older guitars. The spring latch has a weak spring but still clasps
with no problem. There is also a vintage capo included that was in the case
when he got the guitar. It has been in the family since
1975, and  had only one previous owner before.
