Here we have up for auction is a STUNNING sounding 1974 vintage Martin D-28 with beautiful rosewood back and sides and non original hard case in good condition and stunning sounding.
As far as I can tell is is 100% original, including the finish and the pickguard which like most 70's Martin pickguards is starting to peel upwards but it is not enough to affect the playing at all... It plays and projects very well and has the classic D28 sound that you hear on recordings everywhere.
As can be seen from the photos, it is a nice Martin which has just started to nicely mellow nicely, it's 36 year old spruce top has some very cool lacquer checking which only goes to enhance the vibe on this guitar. There are a few dings on it here and there but it really is in very good condition for a 70's Martin and looks as if it has hardly been played which is such a shame... The strap button on the bottom is pushed in so this may need attention if you need to use a strap (see photos).

Action is very nice and easy to play, frets are in good shape - they will not need replacing for a long time and the guitar is ready to play straight away.
This is a no reserve auction and the highest bid takes it. Inspection is welcome before the auction finishes, guitar is situated somewhere near Hull.
UK price for these are over £loads each so therefore at 1p and NO RESERVE it may be a good bargain...
