Cindy Martin    OOAK Vintage Velvet Clown

Hello and thank you for stopping by my listing. Today, I have a wonderful 17" (excluding his hat) Velvet Clown Yesterbear by the very gifted Cindy Martin. Cindy writes incredibly descriptive hangtags, so I will start at the beginning: One of a kind clown bear - Original Design - Artist Made - finest mohair - antique silk velvet - antique French buttons - New Fabric also - Needle sculpted face - soft stuffed gently jointed - unique clown face embroidered in perle cotton and antique carnival glass beads. Cindy completed this wonderful clown on 11/28/00 and he came to live with me right away. His mohair is dense, straight and it is an ivory color.
 
Kept only in a glass cupboard, out of direct light, this amazing bear is as fresh as he was when I bought him in 2000. My photos do not do this bear justice at all ~ there is SO much detail and the stitch work is exquisite! There may be some vagaries in the vintage velvet but this bear is a true work of art from an artist who pioneered the way for future generations of bear artists.  I won’t tell you what I paid for him ~ but it is a shame to keep him behind glass so perhaps, he will speak to one of you. This is an elegant bear in every way and Cindy stayed very true to her POV! Note the lion-like face, the long arms and the long slender feet.   Every bead is intact and this clown is in immaculate condition. He has his sewn-in label and his artist hangtag. It's been a joy to have this clown in my collection! 
 
I’ve been this bear’s sole owner and he has NEVER been around my pets. My home has always been smoke-free. Thank you and please feel free to contact me through eBay.
