Vintage Martin Guitar

This auction is for a C F Martin & CO Ukulele, made in Nazareth, PA, probably in the 1940's. It is in all around very good, nice original condition. I have included pictures of all sides and close-ups of the points of interest. The ukulele is approximately 21 inches long. It is stamped CF Martin & Co Nazareth, PA inside and CF Martin & Co est. 1833 on the top of the neck. The neck and all edges are tight and show no signs of repairs. The finish has some edge wear and small amounts of the gloss finish missing from the edges and top right of the body, but has no dents or deep scratches. It does has a closed crack on the right side edge of the body that runs the length of the side. It has apparently been repaired, but it is visible in the reflection of the finish and can be felt as it has a very slight raised edge. It done not appear to have been damaged from accident or mishandling as the ukulele not appear to have been abused. I live in Nazareth, PA only a couple miles from the CF Martin factory, but this is owned by a friend and it spent its' life on Long Island, NY. The leather name pocket is aged and cracked and the canvas on the back top has wear through that matches up with the fret screws. Overall it is in nice condition, stored well by the original owner and has not been abused. I will over pack this instrument for safe delivery.
